Watch: Incredible footage shows extensive slips, flooding on major Coromandel highway

Incredible helicopter vision shows the devastation caused by several severe slips and flooding on a major highway in the Coromandel. 

Footage supplied to Newshub shows several massive slips on State Highway 25A on the Kopu-Hikuai Road. 

The helicopter footage captured on Tuesday afternoon shows rocks and trees blocking huge swathes of the road. 

Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency said the highway is closed after a full road collapse at a large washout location.

It comes a month after the road was closed after the discovery of cracks that appeared following Cyclone Hale.
