Three people have been arrested after reports of gunshots in Hawke’s Bay on Saturday evening.
Police said they were called to Kelvin Road, Maraenui in Napier at 9:30pm after reports people heard a firearm being discharged.
Police confirmed there were no injuries but made follow-up enquiries and arrested three people.
One person was released without charge while an 18-year-old man will appear in the Napier District Court on charges relating to the incident on Monday.
A young person has also been referred to Youth Aid, police said.
“Enquiries are ongoing and Police cannot rule out further charges in relation to the matter,” a police spokesperson said.
