Police have swarmed a west Auckland street for the second time in four days after an alleged firearms incident.
Police said they attended an address in Massey following reports of disorder at about 1:30am on Thursday.
“On arrival, those reportedly involved were no longer at the scene. Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing,” a police spokesperson said.
It’s understood authorities were called to Claverdon Drive in Massey.
A witness at the scene told NZ Herald there had been shots fired at a house but it’s not yet confirmed whether anyone has been injured.
Several police officers could be seen outside the property and on the street.
This latest potential shooting comes just four days after armed police swarmed the same street.
A witness told Newshub a gun was fired in the air from a moving vehicle while footage from the scene showed the upstairs windows of the house and a car outside the garage smashed in.
Several people were treated for minor injuries while one person was taken to Waitakere Hospital’s emergency department for treatment.
