Police were forced to break up a dispute in Auckland after it turned violent.
A police spokesperson told Newshub that late on Tuesday night, they arrived at the location on Albionvale Road, Glen Eden, where up to 15 people were reported fighting.
Four people were found with minor injuries and the NZ Herald reports one man is now in hospital awaiting surgery following the attack.
The NZ Herald spoke to a witness on the scene who said the injured man has no feeling in his hand or arm.
She told the outlet this isn’t the only damage that was done. One person is covered in bruises after being “ragdolled” and pulled by the hair, and another was bitten by a dog.
Police cleared two addresses and spoke to a number of people.
“Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing, but it appears those involved are known to each other.”
