Police are hunting a group they believe carried out two burglaries in the space of 10 minutes in Waikato on Thursday morning.
Inspector William Loughrin said the first robbery occurred at 8:20am at a business on Te Putu Street in Taupiri.
Loughrin said a number of offenders entered the business and stole items, before fleeing in a vehicle.
The second robbery was a ram raid at a business on Hakanoa Street in Huntly at 8.30am.
After ram-raiding the premises, the thieves fled the scene.
Loughrin said they’re following positive lines of inquiries but believe the two robberies are linked.
“We want to assure the community that we are working hard to locate the offenders and hold them to account,” Loughrin said.
“Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed either incident, or who might have information about what has occurred. Information can be reported to Police on 105, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.”
