Multiple shops in Auckland’s Te Atatū Peninsula have been targeted in a window-smashing spree.
Police said officers were called to reports of wilful damage in Te Atatū Rd at about 3am on Wednesday.
A string of shops – including a cafe, Pita Pit and Domino’s – all had their windows smashed in, leaving glass all over the road.
Police said an investigation is underway.
A probe has also been launched into an earlier “incident” in Massey just before 3am, a police spokesperson said.
“Enquiries are currently underway to determine if the two incidents are linked and to determine who is responsible.
“Anyone with information on either is asked to contact police via our 105 phone service.”
