Concerns are growing for the welfare of a Wellington-based man Joneper Canoy who may have gone missing while hitchhiking in the Waikato.
Canoy, who recently moved to Aotearoa, was last seen on Sunday on Cambridge’s Tirau Rd, causing concern among police and Canoy’s friends.
A police spokesperson said Canoy resides in Wellington and police believe he may be trying to travel back to the capital.
“He may be hitchhiking so police are asking for any motorists in the area who may have picked him up to contact us.”
Police are urging anyone with information on Canoy’s whereabouts to contact Hamilton police on 105 and quote file number 230327/2680.
