Easter traffic: Crash causing delays on Southern motorway

A crash on the Southern motorway near the Hill Road-Manurewa off-ramp has closed two lanes and travellers are being advised to delay their journeys. 

Police said in a statement a collision occurred between a motorbike and a car at around 2pm and one person was seriously injured. 

One lane has been reopened but two remain closed while emergency services respond. 

The crash is causing delays and Waka Kotahi said in a tweet alternative routes should be used where possible and drivers should expect delays.
