A New South Wales police officer has been arrested after being accused of sexual offences involving a 17-year-old.
NSW police have been investigating the allegations since December last year but on Thursday arrested the 27-year-old officer.
“The probationary constable – attached to a command in the Northern Region – was charged with incite other to do a sexual act with them without consent and behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school,” police said.
The officer was granted conditional bail and will appear in a local NSW court on May 11.
Police added the officer’s employment status is under review.
