Four people have been injured, one critically, in a ‘serious’ crash in south Auckland on Sunday morning.
Police said emergency services were called at about 4:15am to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Airfield Road and Mullins Road in Ardmore.
One person is reported to have critical injuries, another serious injuries and two have sustained moderate injuries, police said.
“The Serious Crash Unit is attending the scene,” a police spokesperson said.
Mullins Road is closed at the intersections with Clevedon Takanini Road and Papakura Clevedon Road. Airfield Road is closed before Mullins Road.
“Please avoid the area if possible, or expect delays,” the spokesperson said.
Hato Hone St John told Newshub they responded with four ambulances, two rapid response units and one manager.
“We assessed and treated four patients, three in a serious condition and one in a moderate condition, who were all transported to Middlemore hospital,” a Hato Hone St John spokesperson said.
