Malaria is an infection caused by single-celled parasites that enter the blood through the bite of an Anopheles mosquito. The infection typically causes high fever, marked fatigue and weakness. Weakness should gradually resolve once malaria is treated with appropriate drugs. Staying well hydrated, getting sufficient calories and not over exerting oneself will help speed recovery.
