Two people from neighbouring properties have been injured after getting into a heated argument and damaging each other’s property.
Police said they attended an ongoing dispute between two neighbouring properties on Weymouth Road in the suburb of Manurewa at around 1am on Wednesday.
When police arrived, the occupants were arguing and damaging each other’s property, which resulted in injuries.
“Ultimately, this resulted in a vehicle attempting to leave an address and crashing into a fence,” a police spokesperson said.
Two people were injured, one with moderate injuries and the other with minor injuries.
“Police spent a considerable amount of time working to de-escalate the situation and speak to occupants from both addresses,” the spokesperson said.
Police confirmed no charges have been laid at this stage but are continuing to make enquiries.
